First you will need to register to receive your personal meeting room number. Registration is free and does not involve any obligation to use the service.
No payment details are required as this is a shared cost conferencing service, whereby each person on the conference call bears their own cost through the number dialled to access the service. The call charge will appear on your telephone bill in the normal way. Please note call costs may vary from some mobile networks according to your own mobile package - please consult your mobile phone provider for details.
When your registration is complete you will be shown on screen your personal meeting room number which is your conference access code. This will also be emailed to you.
You are now ready to start conferencing.
Making a Conference Call
You do not need to tell us the time you want to have your conference call as the service is always available to use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
To hold a call, simply tell your meeting participants the conferencenow service number, 0871 244 4304, together with your personal meeting room number and the time you want the call to start.When participants dial in they will be prompted to enter your personal room number (called an access code) followed by #. If they enter your access code incorrectly, they will automatically be connected to one of our operators who will be able to place them in your call (we do not charge for this service and it is available 24 hours a day). When anyone enters a conference, they are prompted to record their name. This will alert you to people entering or leaving your meeting room during the conference.
The call will start as soon as there are two people on line. Your personal meeting room can accommodate up to 40 people at any one time. If you require more than 40 people on a call, please contact us in advance of your call and we can arrange this for you (there is no charge for this facility).
Call Rate Tariff
Each person dialling into the conference pays their own cost for dialling the 0871 number. The price of the 0871 call from a UK landline is 8.5p per minute at anytime. Please note that calls from mobile phones may incur different rates and that the cost of dialling +44 871 from outside the UK will vary by country.
No other charges are raised by conferencenow.
